The development at Sedgemere Road will be a prominent part of Abbey Wood as the neighbourhood grows and will be visible from the station entrance as well as further afield. We want to develop a distinctive building which adds to the local character and welcomes people to the area.
We propose to make the façade primarily out of brick, with the colours making reference to the history and ecology of the local area. For example, we may take cues from the marshland which once occupied the site, using contrasting brick colours emphasising this connection.
We welcome your feedback on how the local area can inspire the landscaping and artwork around the site. We want to design the site so that people feel safe, and are seeking ideas on the landscaping features that would help us achieve this.
