PUBLIC CONSULTATION
Abbey Wood Sedgemere Limited is pleased to bring forward proposals for an exciting new rental community at 4-8 Sedgemere Road within the London Borough of Bexley.
The site has the potential to provide up to 200 new homes, including affordable housing. We are preparing to consult with the local community on our plans, and we look forward to discussing them with you at a public webinar on Wednesday 28 February 2024, from 6:30pm – 8:00pm.
This website offers a summary of the emerging plans, and gives you a chance to provide your feedback, either online or by post.

OUR PROPOSALS
Our new plans build on an existing planning consent to provide a high-quality, design-led community at the heart of Abbey Wood. We propose to develop approximately 200 ‘build to rent’ homes (BTR) – including new affordable homes, in a scheme of up to 21 storeys – about 73m in height. As part of the growing local centre around Abbey Wood station, we will also enhance the public realm on site and provide generous landscaping. Following this public consultation, we aim to submit a planning application to Bexley Council this year.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Danescroft is bringing forward this development on behalf of Abbey Wood Sedgemere Limited, who own the site and are funding the project. The building has been designed by GRID Architecture, and the urban planning has been carried out by CBRE. Also involved are EDLA (Landscaping), Steer (Transport), and Cratus Group (Public Consultation).
Following this public consultation, we aim to submit a planning application for Sedgemere Road to Bexley Council in 2024. Please get in touch if you have any questions, via email [email protected], post FREEPOST – CRATUS COMMUNICATIONS or through the form below.
